In a recent video that has been making waves across social media platforms, Yoseph Haddad, an Israeli Arab and staunch supporter of Israel, is seen addressing the people of Gaza. His message is clear, composed, and compassionate: move to the southern parts of Gaza and allow the Israeli army to carry out their operations.
At first glance, some might wonder why an Israeli Arab would stand in defense of Israel. But a closer look at Haddad’s background provides clarity to his unwavering commitment.
Hailing from Haifa, Yoseph relocated with his family to Nazareth when he was just three years old. At the age of 18, driven by a sense of duty, he volunteered for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and joined the elite Golani Brigade. In 2006, the horrors of war became a stark reality for him. During the Second Lebanon War, Yoseph suffered grievous injuries in a battle at Bint J’bil. A Kornet missile, fired by Hezbollah, struck him, causing the loss of his leg and inflicting multiple wounds on his body and face.
Yet, adversity often molds heroes. After a grueling period of rehabilitation, Yoseph didn’t just recover; he thrived. His leg was successfully reattached, and he regained the ability to play soccer. But more importantly, the traumatic experience ignited a passion in him to advocate for the State of Israel on the global stage, dispel myths, combat BDS, and bridge the chasm between Arabs and Jews within Israel.
In 2018, to further his mission of fostering understanding and unity, Yoseph founded “Together – Vouch for Each Other.” This organization has since grown exponentially, boasting hundreds of volunteers and a massive following on social media platforms. Recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Influential pro-Israel voices online and one of the Top 40 Digital Influencers for Israel, Yoseph’s influence and reach are undeniable.
His credentials are further solidified by his roles as a TedX speaker, a contributor at i24 News, and a regular commentator on Israeli TV networks in three languages: English, Hebrew, and Arabic.
So, when Yoseph Haddad speaks, people listen. His recent message to the people of Gaza is a testament to his wisdom, experience, and unwavering belief in a future where Arabs and Jews in Israel coexist harmoniously. For those unfamiliar with his story, the video serves as a powerful introduction to a man who has dedicated his life to unity, understanding, and peace.
